Eupatorium Perfoliatum (Eup-per., Eupat. perfol), a homeopathic remedy, is obtained from the plant known as “Thoroughwort” (Eupatorium perfoliatum) belonging to the family Asteraceae. Eupatorium Perfoliatum is used in homeopathy in the treatment of intermittent and remittent fevers. It affects respiratory system and gastro-hepatic organs. Eupatorium Perfoliatum relieves bone and joint pains such as those associated with dengue fever, malarial fever, influenza, etc. For this reason, it is also known as the “Common Boneset” or “Boneset”. Eupatorium is useful in cachexia from inebriety (drunkenness / intoxication), or from old chronic, bilious intermittent fever.
