Dr. Aditya SardanaKeymasterHomeopathy is a system of medicine which is based on the Law of Similars or Similia Similibus Curentur (likes are to be cured by likes). This law was propagated by Father of Human Pharmacology – Samuel Hahnemann, who was a German physician and the founder of Homeopathy.
According to the Law of Similars, a drug capable of producing certain disease-symptoms in a healthy person is capable of removing or relieving similar symptoms in the sick. The drug, which causes symptoms in the healthy, relieves or cures the similar symptoms in the sick in the homeopathic formulation having infinitesimal (immeasurably small) quantity of that drug or without any single molecule of that drug!!
To know about how this is possible, that is, to know about the scientific truth of Homeopathy along with the evidences supporting scientific basis of Homeopathy, you can read this post “Is Homeopathy a True Medical Science or Pseudoscience?“. Homeopathy is presently categorized under Alternative medicine or Complementary medicine.

Dr. Aditya SardanaKeymasterThe point of junction between the two nerve cells (neurons) or between a neuron and a muscle fiber or gland cell, at which the nerve impulse passes from one neuron to another neuron or muscle fiber or gland cell in the form of a neurotransmitter is known as the Synapse.
Dr. Aditya SardanaKeymasterSSRIs form the mainstay therapy for Depression. SSRIs or the Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors treat depressive symptoms by increasing the amount of serotonin in the synapse (see What is Synapse?). For more information see the post: Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRIs) – A Landmark.

Dr. Aditya SardanaKeymasterAyahuasca is a psychedelic (define psychedelic?) plant beverage or tea obtained from Banisteriopsis caapi together with the leaves of Psychotria viridis or Diplopterys cabrerana. It is used by healers and shamans in the Amazon Basin for curing diseases (folk medicine) and for magico-religious practices (contacting spirits or the dead ones). The ritual use of Ayahuasca is considered sacred and important in the religions indigenous to South America. The woody vine (Banisteriopsis caapi) is the basic ingredient of the Ayahuasca beverage, and is seldom used alone to make the Ayahuasca beverage or tea. It usually contains other plants as mentioned above along with the woody vine. For more information on Ayahuasca, refer to this research article: Ayahuasca – The Sacred Psychedelic!! | adidarwinian.

Dr. Aditya SardanaKeymasterPsychedelic substances or Psychedelics are hallucinogenic substances that after consumption produce a feeling of heightened sensory awareness in a user and the user has subjective experience that his or her mind is expanding. User feels a sort of religious experience, and feels as if he or she is in union with the entire universe or all of the humanity. Ayahuasca tea or beverage (What is Ayahuasca?) is an example of a psychedelic.

Dr. Aditya SardanaKeymasterThe term “cloud” in cloud computing denotes Internet. Cloud computing is a powerful and flexible computing model that provisions a convenient and on-demand access, through the Internet from anyplace around the world, to a pool of easily configurable computing resources. The computing resources include servers, networks, storage, software, applications, websites, and services. These resources can be promptly provisioned with least interaction between the service provider and client.
Essential Characteristics of Cloud Computing
The cloud computing model is characterized by these five essential characteristics, viz. –
On-demand automatic or self-service (a user can acquire required computing capabilities or resources automatically, that is, without exercising human interaction with cloud computing service provider);
Broad network access through thin (for example, mobile phones) or thick client platforms (for example, workstations) over the Internet;
Dynamic resource pooling in order to effectively serve the demands of multiple consumers or clients using a multi-tenant model;
Extreme scalability or elasticity allowing consumers to rapidly scale computing capabilities or resources outwards and inwards in full accordance with their demands;
and
Pay-as-you-go or measured service model which works on charge-per-use basis (pay-per-use basis).Dr. Aditya SardanaKeymasterOrnithology is the scientific study of every aspect of birds.
