Mammalogy – The branch of Zoology that deals with the study of the mammals.


Marine Biology
– It deals with the biological study of the life forms in the oceans.


Medicine
– One of the applied biological sciences that involves diagnosing, treating, and preventing diseases.


Microbiology
– One of the branches of Biology dealing with the microscopic organisms such as bacteria, viruses, protozoa, etc.


Molecular Biology
– This branch of Biology explores the biological processes at the molecular level by studying macromolecules such as DNA, RNA, and proteins.


Morphology
– The branch of Biology dealing with the form, shape, or structure of the living organisms, especially without performing dissection.


Mycology
– One of the branches of Biology that involves the scientific study of fungi.


Neurobiology
– One of the branches of Biology that deals with the study of the nervous system.


Ornithology
– It is defined as the scientific study of every aspect of the birds.


Paleobiology (Palaeobiology)
– The branch of Biology and Paleontology/Palaeontology that deals with the biological study of the fossils of the living organisms.


Parasitology
– One of the branches of Biology that involves the scientific study of parasitic organisms, parasitism, and the diseases caused by the parasites.


Pathology
– The scientific study of the diseases of the plants and animals.


Pharmacology
– The study of action of drugs on the body (Pharmacodynamics) and the action of body on the drugs (Pharmacokinetics).


Physiology
– The scientific study of the functions of the living organisms.


Primatology
– The branch of Zoology that involves the study of primates.


Psychobiology
– It is also called Biopsychology and deals with the study of behavior, emotions, cognition and other mental processes in relation to the biological structures and functions pertaining to the nervous system.


Toxicology
– It involves the study of the nature of the toxic or poisonous substances, detection of toxic substances, their effects on the living organisms, and the treatment of poisoning.


Virology
– The scientific study of the viruses and the diseases caused by them.


Xenobiology
– One of the branches of Biology dealing with the search for and study of the aliens and other extraterrestrial life forms. Also, known as Exobiology or Astrobiology.


Zoology
– One of the main branches of Biology dealing with the scientific study of animals and covering all the aspects such as structure, physiology, taxonomy, development, behavior, distribution, etc.
